Sambas Police Chief Visits Sungai Serabek Nutritious Yard Pilot Village

Sungai Serabek won first place in the 2025 Sambas Regency Nutritious Yard Food (P2B) pilot village competition and was chosen to represent Sambas at the West Kalimantan provincial level.

Sambas Police Chief AKBP Wahyu Jati Wibowo visited the Nutritious Yard Food (P2B) pilot site in Sungai Serabek Village, Teluk Keramat District, on Monday (26 May 2025). The visit was linked to the 79th Bhayangkara (National Police) anniversary and police support for national food security.

The Sambas Police and the Sambas Agriculture Office ran the P2B competition assessment, with judges verifying entries on site, mainly to check the videos submitted. Sungai Serabek won first place in the 2025 Sambas Regency P2B pilot village competition and was chosen to represent Sambas at the West Kalimantan provincial level.

The police chief said the village showed initiative and strong commitment to building household food security from home yards. The aim, he said, is to raise awareness of using yard land for nutritious food while protecting the environment.

Teluk Keramat District Head Dr. Budi Iswanto praised residents’ long-standing habit of growing vegetables in their yards. Village Head Arkan thanked officials for the recognition and pledged to sustain the programme so it can serve as an example for other areas.
